July 7, 2015 / Restorations Bible Restoration Anna Wright / A client’s childhood Bible had a dry rotted leather cover and loose, insect damaged pages. They requested a new leather cover and minimal, stabilizing repairs to the pages so the text could be sewn back together. The old leather cover was brittle and crumbling. The first two sections had come out entirely. Insects had eaten away the pages at the spine and bottom margins. The text securely rebound in the new cover. The finished Bible, repaired and recovered.
